Having Trouble Submitting your OSHA 300A to the ITA?

Have you had difficulty submitting your OSHA 300A information electronically this year? Please note that you are still required to electronically submit your data. Although the required date for reporting in 2021 is March 2nd, you still have time.
When you go to the website Injury Tracking Application | Occupational Safety and Health Administration (osha.gov), you may find this notice still being displayed:
Not sure if you need to electronically report this data? If you were required to report last year, you are still required to do so this year.
Not sure if you need to report? Here are some guidelines:
- Establishments with 250 or more employees that are currently required to keep OSHA injury and illness records, and establishments with 20-249 employees that are classified in certain industries with historically high rates of occupational injuries and illnesses need to report.
- Employers in State Plan states with questions about their obligation to submit injury and illness information, please contact your State Plan office.
- Federal Agencies should not report their injury and illness data through the Injury Tracking Application (ITA). For information on the Federal Agency reporting requirements click here.
Establishments that meet any of the following criteria DO NOT have to send their information to OSHA. These criteria apply at the establishment level, not to the firm as a whole.
- The establishment’s peak employment during the previous calendar year was 19 or fewer, regardless of the establishment’s industry.
- The establishment’s industry is on this list, regardless of the size of the establishment.
- The establishment had a peak employment between 20 and 249 employees during the previous calendar year AND the establishment’s industry is not on this list.
