What Are Pre-Hire Assessments?

Pre-hire assessments have been used successfully for many years to ensure employees can perform essential job functions.

Pre-hire assessments fall into two categories, pre-offer and post-offer.  In both cases, the assessments must be completed pre-hire.  A post-offer assessment is completed when an offer has been made to a employee candidate and is contingent on meeting the requirements outlined in the assessment process of the offer.

Although similar, both pre-offer and post-offer pre-hire assessments have unique applications limitations.  The goal of both is to help ensure the applicant can safely perform the essential job functions without presenting risk to themselves or others.

Simulation tests (assessments) are developed where you can assess applicants and decline non-satisfactory applicants while advancing appropriate applicants through your hiring process.  By processing only able and willing applicants, there is less time and expense spent on additional pre/post hire screening.
